In response to both of the alerts, let's end this line here. I do think the prediction is insane (I'll get to that in a bit), but this is a sales site, and thus, discussion of sales has nothing to do with Youtube or anything of the sort. We have people on all sides of the fence who are... overly optimistic about their preferred system. Thus, this thread is fine, and it shows no signs of desperation; rather, is a general thing I would see on the symptoms.

On the other alert, the entire thing is not the fault of "new kids." Any site, in order to grow, or hell, even to remain stable, must find new members to replace ones that retire from posting. They may come into it viewing things differently, but you don't have any rules to stand on by attacking the new person. As I said in the prior paragraph, yes, I do think it's insane, but it doesn't break any rules. And I'm not exactly just a new person, either... So, to both sides, let's drop this direction.

Topic at hand, I don't see how the PS3 version alone could best Reach's first week. The CoD games that have sold best have been the Modern Warfare games, a moniker this title lacks, thus, the connection to the casual player will be less. Then you have the more devoted gamers; some may be jaded by the huge rift with Activision, others know that it's not a game from Infinity Ward, and may think less of it for that. Coupled with the fact that MW2's sales would need to increase even more in the first week leaves me not seeing it. I'm thinking enough down things are in place to see 2.5m first week on PS3, and 3.25m on 360.

If by opinion you mean being corprate douche than yes BHR-3 does have an opinion. If he can back up why he thinks that Uncharted 2 has the best MP he has ever played than maybe I can take him serouisly.

But honestly compared the Reach's  MP Uncharted is a ant lost in a tyrannosaurus shadow. Thats Fact.

this isnt a thread about uncharted 2's multiplayer, its about reach and cod:bo, i think he was just showing an example about when he got disapointed or something like that.

I know this thread is about something else but uncharted mp is complete crap and i find it ridiculous that someone thinks uncharted mp is the best mp out there.

And okay, since this is about  BO( ps3 version) outselling Reach, I also find that ridiculous. Anyone who believes that the ps3 version of COD can sell over 4 million units in 5 days is a moron. Nuff said.

its ok  he just got confused between real sales and the fact that  used GT5 game sales ,lending it to your brother , it being stolen , his imaginary friends buying multiple copies every day etc etc don't count  as real sales.

Trying not to put words into any ones mouth but i feel his mentioning the ps3 version rather than the 360's, is because it is the least likely of the two to come true, thus  giving  the thread  a more lively discourse.

Yes, I definitely think the PS3 verison of Black Ops will sell better than Reach's first week. It would be very surprising if it couldn't reach (pun intended) 4 million units in its lifetime.

Now if you meant it's first week will be better than the first week of Reach (I'm just going off the title of the thread), then no.
