Forums - Nintendo - Xenoblade - New field exploration video released

the worst part is Xseed, Atlus, or ignition would probably bring over all of them in a heartbeat if nintendo would just sell the localization rights

This is what gets me personally... and even worse, last gen Nintendo *did* license out a few games to Atlus USA (Cubivore, Polarium Advance).  If they'd just continue that, I'm sure companies like Atlus/Aksys/Ignition/Xseed/etc would jump at the chance to bring over Reginliev, Disaster, Last Window, Trace Memory R or Soma Bringer.  Hell, I think even stuff like Band Bros./DX, Takt of Magic, Jet Impulse, ASH (which Treehouse already fully localized, argh!), theta or Kensax would also still make for attractive pick ups.

Fatal Frame though, is in Tecmo Koei's court.  They're the IP holder, if we don't get the game the fault really rests with them ultimately... supposedly Nintendo wanted to release it outside Japan too (NOE even did early adverts for "Zero: A Japanese Ghost Story") but they wanted to change to direct flashlit pointing, plus game's just too buggy as is, and Tecmo wasn't willing to spend what'd it take to get it up to par.

I never quite get NoA.  I live in the U.K, so NoA's decisions don't usually directly affect me (though I guess one could say that NoE is more likely to pick up a game localised by NoA as half the translating is done already), but North America has a lot more Wii owners than Europe and Australasia, therefore a larger audience.  So I don't quite understand why NoA passes on the likes of Disaster, Jam with the Band and Another Code Wii, yet NoE is willing to localise them.  That's not to say that this gen NoE has passed on some odd choices such as Excitebots, but it is nowhere near as bad as NoA.

I could go on all day how Europe always get shat on when it comes to game localisation, but this gen there seems to be some role reversal.

Yes it's somewhat funny, as location wise I am actually not in the US and I chose to get a US Wii because i thought:

1. All Wii games will be available in the US.

2. Wii games wil be cheaper in the US

3. New games will usually come out in the US first.

Seems I made the wrong choice, only assumption no. 3 turned out to be rather correct (Japan was not a choice)
 Oh well.

It's a fan made trailer, not an official Nintendo one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Looks on par with MH:Tri and a little better (cleaner) than Zelda: TP; this is one of the best looking Wii games out there!!!
