Forums - Nintendo - Top Ten Things Conduit 2 Needs To Be a Success

Now since Conduit 2 has been delayed until Q1 2011, High Voltage has much more time to do polishing and adding more features to both the online and the single player campaign. Conduit 2 can be one of the biggest first person shooter titles on the Wii outside of the Call of Duty franchise. All it needs is just a little bit of tender love and care, something High Voltage Software doesn't mind doing.

Well, they've already taken care of thing number 11: Don't release on the same day as Goldeneye Wii.

But seriously, this could give Goldeneye a run for its money.

Actual advertising. This above all else is needed I believe. People need to know the game exist and what type of game it is and what kind of content it has. Midnight advertising isn't going to cut it. However I don't expect Sega to do anything. :(

Taking care of hacking is another important thing that needs to be taken care of as that will hurt it in the long run.

Patches supposedly will be available this time, and i had heard that the code for the original Conduit was particularly hackable (nothing being unhackable as PS Jailbreak has recently reaffirmed), but the Conduit's code was especially easy prey from what i heard.

It would be relatively simple to write in code that might check for cheating, like if you were hit by bullets more than a certain number of times in the match, but never died, or fired x number of rounds but never had to pick up ammo.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I just hope the game turns out great.

I didn't buy the Conduit because I felt like I wouldn't have been satisfied by it, even though I was hyped as hell to get it.

Mr Khan, I spoke to Bill Sullivan (lead designer) at E3.  He said every week they hold meetings with the top Conduit hackers to learn how they exploited the game so that they will launch Conduit 2 with more security and be better prepared to handle things if hacks do become prevalent again.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

I played Conduit 2, now the demo was glitchy as heck but the developer told me that all the glitches have already been fixed. Aside from the glitches the game looked better then the origional. Still dark something I disliked about the first one, I want lit landscapes like those found in other shooters.

As for advertising I saw tons of ads for the origional on Spike and G4. I think Sega could improve but I don't think it will outsell the origional. I even doubt Bond will break a mill. Fact is their is no market for FPS games on the Wii like their is on 360/PS3.
