No doubt Kaz was dumb as hell in the past. He seems to have calmed it down a bit lately though AFAIK.

As of right now though, I think Greenberg is head and shoulders above the pile.

 

I think the thread is lacking some Turn 10 classics too really. Taken from an interview last year...

I want an option for both Dille and Greenberg. Wait, I forgot about Kotick.

My vote goes to Dille, Greenberg and Kotick. The Triforce of Epic Fail.

I least favor the Sony camp Vp's and PR execs, they've delivered the least this Gen and they fluff it up, but of course you'd never know the Sony camp is in last place in both hardware .. and more overwhelmingly last place in software sales.. they've got it all they've got variety ( about 140 less games in their library then 360 ),  Sony needs to rely more on FPS because sales are best in Europe and America which is why their best title is COD MW2 on PS3 yet instead of addressing this as we need to shift are game production to this Sony spinsters make excuses that they did this back in the PS2 days and MS relies on FPS's.  I just think Sony is out of touch an donly their loyal fan base will argue against this, although that fanbase has shrunk dramatically.  You never here them say, "We apologize to everyone else who bought a PS2, we screwed up which is why we went from being #1 with PS2 (by a longshot) to lastplace (PS3) in console sales, last place in software sales ( behind 360 by 120 million game units ! ), and last place in facts and not fluff

Agreed.  But this is supposed to be about VP's (though I see everyone else is going beyond VP's).

I'll simply point out that ona  whole, Sony execs make me want to divide by zero.  No groups slings more mud, is more arrogant, is more incorrect, is more callow than the Sony execs.

Quality over quanity ?  Boy thats a spin on words.. is that what you said back in the Glory days of PS2 in defense of the few quality Game Cube titles that were out ?

Put whatever spin on it you want.. quality sells consoles and titles.. I'll play COD on PS3, but FF is getting alittle old.  titles like that are way past their glory days and that title existed when I had it on Nintendo.  What they don't get is this.. the Young people who buy consoles today and will tmr ( Next Gen ) don't even know the FF story.. why would they be interested in the game ?  Its the older Sony fans that are keeping titles like this alive !

PS: And there's absolutely nothing wrong with older fans keeping thier old favorites alive, like Mario on the Wii, but statistically speaking older folks are less likely to buy consoles, although some always will of course.. its the younger fans who get impressed with NEW games that drive console sales that fuel what Nintendo, Sony, MS all do.. They sell consoles.. and they can't thrive unless they sell more.  I don't disrespect if you have a legitimate word about quality titles, but lets be fair.. What's quality to you, is not quality to a 14 year old who is asking Mom and Dad to buy a new console.  I beleive Sony needs more FPS's to push their business model..
