Copying a competitor is an often used business strategy, usually successful too.

Well when the market barrier is something like Nintendo, companies need to do more than copy to be successful. They actually need to try and innovate, like the PSP tried to do, and at the early stages looked really good on paper.

Patcher is a shill for game developers, game developers would like the psp2 and the 3ds to be more compatible so it is easier to develop games for them.Like he shills for wiihd so it is more compatible with the HD twins

Copying the 3DS's 3D, the iPod/iPhone's utility, and adding superior graphics would be a tasty proposition. Not sure they can do that and keep the price down, though.

Pachter is right. The 3DS will kill the PSP as soon as it releases. More performance, whole entire range of games and 3D display. Theres nothing that Sony can do to save the PSP against the 3DS.
