Seriously this website had been doing so well in terms of advertisements since the new website upgrade and now this.

The first thing I see when I come on the site is a pop up ad that can't be removed and a autoplay video that I have to mute. Then I open a couple threads and I'm bombarded by sound from all the videos auto-playing in each thread, hell some threads have two videos auto-playing at the same time. Not to mention my computer slows down to a crawl with the amount of memory these ads are taking up.

Is anyone else getting this? Why does this website do such a horrible job when it comes to ads? I have never enabled any kind of ad blocker and in the past I had to stop coming to this website twice for an extended period of time because the ads became so overwhelming my computer would crash. How can you expect me not to install an ad blocker when this is the first thing I see coming to the website?

Is no one else getting these auto-play videos popping up with sound?

I get them. Lately, the worst have been the CityFoundation ones or whatever they're called. They fill the screen white and you can't do anything other than to refresh the page. Veryyy annoying.

Where do you live and what browser do you use?

I'm in the states and I'm using chrome but I don't have an ad blocker and I haven't disabled flash.

i have them to. mostly adds for the PoP movie that blot out two or three whole posts in a thread.

Experiencing the same thing.  And God does it suck.

They know about all the ad problems, they haven't done anything about them.

I have the exact same setup as you and I have them.....and yes they are soooooooo annoying.
