According to both Media Create and Famitsu, yes.

It's really within margin of error. vgchartz has the highest first week numbers for FFVIII so here it actually could keep its top spot.

That's still to be decided since VGC does not post Pokemon B/W's number yet. You can't just take numbers from other tracker to prove that.

I said it could keep its top spot. I didn't say that it absolutely keeps its top spot. Of course as Famitsu and MC both have B/W higher than their own FFVIII first week sales vg probably also will have B/W higher than FFVIII.
