Sales for NHL 11 are a bit undertracked though. Here in Finland it sold 23k copies first week on PS3 alone and these charts have it 5k for entire Europe.

I too thought Reach was going to be on par with MW2, but I forgot how Halo is really popular in UK and US, while COD is popular almost everywhere.

Actually i think people saying that have a more compelling argument as Reach only increased 50k over Halo 3.

If we had any idea of how many LE consoles sold or how many were produced for the region we could have a pretty good debate from both sides. But a few years after Halo 3 and a pretty even amount of Halo software i think its pretty safe to say the fanbase for Reach remained relatively flat all things considered.

Doesnt take anything away form the sales though. Its still ridiculous but anytime theres a LE bundle we have no idea other than tracking the software how many new users are gaming.

There were people all over this site claiming that Reach would move barely any hardware.  Its already provided a major jump and that is in EMEAA in America Halo and Xbox is a far stronger brand and will see a MAJOR increase.

Halo Reach is a massive hardware pusher.  This isn't up for debate.

Unless I'm mistaken, people said the same about W@W and MW1. And how did that turn out? Mind you, I'm hoping you turn out correct.

i don't know about that.....the original Modern Warfare is still selling a bit even thought MW2 has been out for almost a year now.

I think Reach will have more an effect on Halo3 sales than black ops on MW2 sales.

The 360 had a pretty major hardware boost on the back of Halo Reach, probably as a bit of a side-effect of the slim model. Not been that much higher WW for the last few weeks so the Americas figures for hardware should be pretty interesting.

Outstanding numbers for Reach and the 360.

Excellent boost in HW, and Reach opens higher than Halo 3. Awesome.

 

Nice little boost for PS3 too Could we see yet another week of 3rd place Wii?

Nintendo software is doing well. 7 of the top 10 games are made by Nintendo. Plus they've got Wii Party coming out next month which should boost hardware sales.
