It's just so it becomes official and because people will use it in their favour. So far sony fans can brag about it, since according to VGC PS3 is on top. Every single unit counts in some cases ;)

Yeah... it's a tie when it comes to H3 and Reach sales for PS fanboys but when it comes to HW sales PS3 wins in EMEA for them :p

Doesn't work that way. It's all about the percentages, not the absolute value.

Given that VGChartz tracks with a given margin of error, if the difference is less than the margin, then it's a statistical tie, no matter what ;)

But since it's cumulative sales and they always adjust after quarterly reports, it could mean that we are in the worst case of the quarter, since it's the most days without adjustments (near the end of the quarter) and a 50k difference is probably statistical noise.
