Piracy is inevitable guys, but it didn't kill the DS, its not killing the Wii or the X360, so I think Android is the way

the psp and the ps3 costumers are different , too many hackers, nerds and whiners in there, and you can do way more things with your hacked psp and ps3 (emulator, play your entire games library from a hdd, etc) this will kill the psp2 and ps3.

I don't think its going to kill the PS3 because the size of games, online play and maybe new games that need the latest firmware to be able play offline. But it could kill PSP2 triple AAA games

piracy affected medium and small third party psp's games, most AAA sold pretty well until recently (well now the psp is the wild west). that was one of the main reasons thet killed the psp, small and emdium developers abadoned the psp first i think.

You are right jonnhytesta, I'm still trying to understand the PSP. In Japan its very popular and I understand that because it has strong software support and bundles every now and then, but why piracy didn't kill the PSP in Japan?

dont know really, i think its a cultural think. for example in the us people will use their hacked ps3 to play pirated ps2 games, psp games, dreamcast and whateevr they can manage to run from a harddrive, but here in my country most people dont give an ef about ps2 games anymore , they are goint to hack it to playfree ps3 games 24 hours a day (maybe more lol)and maybe a couple of psp games that thay realy really like (god of war, gran tursimo, etc)

I agree with you completely, but it would be nice if it had a touch screen and motion sensors as well.

-Proper PSN support. None of this game-by-game ad-hoc/infrastructure crap.

-3G. Limiting a handheld to Wifi is like limiting a fan to only working when it is under 20 degrees outside.

-Dual Analog. Single analog doesn't work. Seriously.

-Four shoulder buttons. Holding select and pressing L/R is not fun.

-SD Card Games. Or really, anything other than UMD.

-BIG screen. Because big things are good

-Touch screen. Because touching is fun, and every portable and its dog has a touchscreen nowadays.

-Low price. People don't buy expensive things.

-Games. This is important. Good games, to be more precise.

Sony needs tighter integration with PSN and the PS3, allow for more things to be doable with this connection. Remote play and 3G could make for some awesome stuff! (this would include things like trophies)

They should make it backwards compatible with the current PSP as well.

They should make sure it plays games very well, so have a control setup that works really well and is comfortable to use.

More stuff I can't think of.

Imo, the most important thing is agressively pricing the console. the 3DS is specualted to be very expensive due to the components required to produce 3D images. imo undercutting them by $100 is the key. the only question is what can Sony do to undercut the cost of the 3DS AND compete with 3D technology...??
