Forums - Sony - RE5: Move controls

I'll buy the Gold Edition once i am done with all the Games i have to finish.. (Legend of Dragoon, Resonance of Fate, Bioshock 2.. *sigh*)

thanks for the impression jneul. :) (i had no interest in the Gold Edition before, because i dont care for DLC.. in any Game.. but since it has move Control, i think it could be fun playing through it again, even if i did it several times already to get the Platinum Trophy.)

I got RE5 gold for £13 off Zavvi, so for me at that price even if i still dont like it, then its not really that much wasted. I didnt get as far as the end of the demo last time as the controls just seemed so clunky and wrong :D so hopefully this will mean i get further this time.

nah RE5 wasnt a terrible game, it just focused WAY to much on story and graphics then the actural gameplay...

its another reason why gameplay should be the main focus

i didnt like the story either. the first half is just 'running through'..

but i wouldnt say RE5 is bad at all, its just not the classic Resident Evil. (which is a bad thing imo xD)

no i don't like it

they only set typeA control is available no other to choose

i was use to typeD control when i'm using dualshock before this

now i have to get use to typeA control which i don't like it

some more the target is inaccurate sometime

when it's pointing at what i wanna shoot but still won't hit it after i shoot

kinda sux... 8(

hoping they will release a better patch to fix all this

Biohazard 5 (RE5) was good action horror shooter game but it was to westernized because alot of the game was done in Hollywood compared to Biohazrd 1-3, CV and 4.

Played it with Move now.

They really messed the controls up, especially with aiming.  The reticle recalibrates the Move every single time you press aim.  It is a mess.

I know what you mean but after an half an hour it wasn't a big deal.  I wish they would just leave the reticle on the screen after you calibrate it... that would be perfect but the way they got it now its still way better than a DS3 controller.  I really wish they would map the scope to the pointer.

If that was Capcom focusing on the storyline, then I'd hate to see them when it's not of much concern to them, lol.

Story was piss-poor.

It really isn't better than a DS3 controller.  You lose so many options and abilities it is unreal, for playing the campaign maybe they aren't a mega loss (maybe on Pro they are since 1 hit dying status is best avoided) but on the Mercenaries and in Versus its unplayable, you just get your ass handed to you by people who can see and manouver better as well as instant aim up/down.

My partner made a list of issues, I got to clock off so I'll post them here fully detailed tomorrow.

Whoa, wait a second, can't the Move do everything the Wiimote does? I loved playing RE4 and I don't remember any options missing! I don't understand why the Move can't replicate the DS3 movement. What happened? Were the developers just lazy? Because I honestly can't think of a legitimate reason why the Move shouldn't work as well.

yes i totally agree

capcom should have stick with how we control when usin DS3 and convert it to PSmove function with all the ability

should'nt resign a new way when using PSmove

and this new way is worst then DS3 which suppose to be better

really hope they release a better patch to get back all the ability we can perform when using DS3 but better when using PSmove and not worst
