The credibility of this article went down the drain when he mentioned the word Dildo.

It took me a while to feel out the author, but this is stealth trolling at its finest.

I suggest to save yourselves 5 minutes and not read this.

For shame all you people that said I stopped reading because of x

It really is a good article and to your surprise it isn't one that spells doom for Move.  The things you find out when you open your eyes!

the vibrator joke showed his bias and i stopped reading right there, in case you are wondering i am on a break due to lots of move exercise, this blog is nothing less than trolling, move is not hard at all to get used to, lets not talk about pricing either, this is an article to make kinect seem better whilst discussing none of the facts just pure speculation and nothing more, lets move along now

First off, that wasn't a joke, it was what his wife actually thought when she first saw the Move controller.

Also, the rest of your comments don't even apply because he is clearly talking about Move's reception to non gamers and casuals which you are neither.

And lastly, he stated very clearly he isn't reviewing Move in any way, just commenting on some design and pricing decisions which I can see being very valid concerns.

I'm not sure why people bash him about the vibrator thing... so it's impossible for his wife actually thought he is holding a vibrator when she saw it the first time?

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

See, when I first opened that article I thought it was going to be a troll article (which is weird because it's Gamasutra and they don't really troll, that's why I read opened that article in the first place) but upon reading it, I thought the message was that these new motion controllers are going to have a difficult time but people should pay them the attention they deserve.

I agree, the article was in no way trolling the move. He does have vaild points with pricing and the design of the move. Let's not jump to conclusion, just because someone has a different opinion then you.

Some people are being way to sensitive.  He didn't down the move in any way except stating that it was not as aesthetically pleasing as the Wii-mote.  He brought up a valid point without saying the Move is doomed and then explained his reasoning.  You don't have to agree with him, but don't just start saying he's biased without basis.

I really think Sony is doing a lot of things wrong with the Move.  For example I think not having a massive launch advertising budget to push Move is going to hurt them in the long run.  These things sell to casuals by word of mouth so the more of these devices in people's hands the more word of mouth there would have been.  Kinect on the other hand will have that advantage and since these things tend to snowball that advantage is likely to become even more pronounced as time goes on.

Another problem pointed out by the blogger is the controller's design.  One of the reasons the Wii Remote was such a hit was that its design was familiar to the mass market, which is of a remote control.  That's really what makes it so brilliant as far as removing the reservations many people might have had with actually picking up the controller and giving the games a try.  The Move controller not only changed that but it chose a design that might even turn off some people (and no I'm not trying to troll I'm simply stating an opinion).

I don't think this will be a problem really, I just think Sony chose a different strategy based on what they want and expect from the device. I don't think that's gonna translate to 'worse' in this case.
