Your maths must be wrong. After 27 weeks in the Americas and EMEA, FFXII was at 11K, with an insignificant 500 from Japan after 39 weeks. It's showing stronger legs, but it's not nearly 5 times more.

It was only doing so badly in the time frame when PS3 slim was widely known about but not yet released. Compared to this week in 2008, PS3 is flat.

Besides anticipation for christmas there is nothing to bump hardware sales in the short-term so this is probably going to repeat this year.
I really wouldn't try to predict christmas sales for the Wii, though 
There really weren't any hardware moving or million selling games with a 2010 release date so far besides a Mario Galaxy sequel (which, considering its predeccessor and the way more popular Mario Bros. really didn't have a chance to push many consoles). There are 8 games on the so far that have passed 1 million units in 2010 and only Super Maro Galaxy was released this year.
Starting October the Wii gets those million sellers at a weekly rate, though. It's really weird Like every publisher including Nintendo themselves moved all of their games back to the October-December period instead of releasing something during summer as well (which is probably what they did, hehe...)

MGS4 is only a few weeks from 5 million. Great stuff, first PS3 5 million exclusive if I'm not mistaken. It should make it there before GT5 release, but even if it doesn't it should beat GT5 to 5 million.
Uncharted 2 still tricking along after almost 1 year. >4 million LTD is pretty much certain I think. They should come out with a GOTY version with a bunch of online maps and some other added goodies thrown in.
ME2 has hit 2 million. Solid result. Looks like it will outsell ME1 on Xbox alone, and then PS3 will push at least 500K I think, 1 million would be great but pretty wishful thinking. It's on my buy list for PS3 for sure.
GoW III rolling towards 3 million. Will certainly beat GoW II, not sure if it'll make it to GoW though. (Of course with GoW collection I & II are out of reach of GoW III, but that's cheating a bit).
Alan Wake is mere weeks from 750K, which I think given it's less than amazing start is a pretty good outcome. It really benefitted from the 360s launch, much more so than a lot of other games that have a much higher LTD.

Respectable numbers except for the mighty wii... DS is just wow really, no words describe it!
Wii desperately needs something. In october Wii party will be the big game with Just dance 2 starting its holidays spree. It will be better then, and i expect good numbers, but to really dominate it needs a pricecut and probably a major surprise hit

PS3 Slim was first leaked in May, and was well known by July.

Well looks like the Wii is back on its downward trajectory after 2 weeks of sales and clearance of bundles with only WiiSports. Only a price cut could have it sell like 2009 this year. Will Nintendo cut the price and still give you a bundle with 2 games and WiiMote
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
