Forums - Microsoft - Steel Battalion Heavy Armor is coming to Kinect

I hate this with a passion that burns with the heat of a thousand suns. Fuck this. This is bullshit. I have been begging for a new Steel Battalion game forever and now I get it without a fucking controller.  This is the stupdest thing ever. I've never been so angry at anything Kinect has done. Oh and it's going to be really fucking fun to have to stand up to play Steel Battalion.

See now I think you're being way too lenient

Any statement that implies there's a possibility of buying this is to be discarded on sheer principle

I came to this thread to find information on what I thought was a cool sounding game.

I found plenty of funny, angry posts.

I love VGChartz

There's not actually that much information yet.

If I had to take a guess, you're going to be operating a mech about the size of a small tank or APC using Kinect controls, probably corresponding to an on-screen interface. It will probably be a pretty fun arcade-style game.

Oh this actually sounds rather promising...but not sure how it will work without buttons but guess we will have to wait until we ge gameplay and such

I think this announcement is just like watching porn on Showtime, it seems like a great idea until you realize that something isn't quite right.

Showtime Porn: oh their kissing nice nice, now they undressing, sweet boobs then .... wait a minute they are totally faking it no penetration, no vagina nothing. Was it fun sure, as good as real porn nope.

New Steel Battalion: on the surface everything looks good, Mechs check, really expensive controller required check, then it hits you where are the buttons, where are my foot pedals and two joysticks, wtf this looks like steel battalion but it plays like something else.

This new game is soft core porn still fun but missing something key from making it complete.

This doesn't tell me what I need to know most, which is how it controls

I can tell you now, you won't be using that gigantic controller of yours unfortunately.

Wait.

There's no controller?

YOU DON'T USE A CONTROLLER AT ALL? Okay even that would be fine, but with confirmation of this it leads me to believe that Steel Battalion will be simplified into something like... like Mechassault.

Hold on I need to find an appropriate .gif

Okay found one

Fuck.  At this point I'm thinking the game may be on-rails.

Don't you control a mech by just moving your arms?  Why would the game need to be on rails?

Again, for people who need buttons (and I'm one of them) SB2 will have optional controller support.

That's not good enough.
