well the idea is to avoid having a cop expose himself, then have me lynched, find that i'm town, then either have the mafia kill the cop or the town lynch the cop for lying... you know that kind of dumb scenario.

i referenced names as in last game Hatmoza had Aphrodite come to his place...(that should ring a bell for you). Events referened by names, even if they have been reflected still have an information. Maybe a cop got the info "you just found Jack the Ripper" as his result... this is still interesting info, as it tells you a character actually in the game and the probable ability, unfortunately, the who, if targeted on me last night, was totally random.

yeah that does make a lot of sense actually.

Like I said, you came out with your information early on, rather than after a cop had come out with evidence, and if I were a cop, I wouldn't check youa gain because you seem to be on the up and up. But I'll keep you in mind for later just in case.

I noticed you making those hints yesterday too...but what I can't get my mind around is why you'd gamble with the town like that. I mean, I would because the odds are actually slightly better than a day 1 lynch would have been, but still...I thought you didn't want a lynch yesterday. And whatabout that thing you mentioned yesterday "if you lynch me, you'll be sorry, or at least 2/3 of a chance that you'll be sorry."

I actually don't know what I would've done if I had your power though, so it's hard for me to think of any alternative really...

it wasn't a gamble, the mafia kills anyways and it's 100% chance a townie, my strat was to make it 25/75.

A lynch is also 25/75 but it's not an unavoidable kill like the mafia night one is.

I'm against killing without proof, but if a kill there must be, might as well it have a chance to fall on the bad guys.

oh and:

"if you lynch me, you'll be sorry, or at least 2/3 of a chance that you'll be sorry." is to say "if you're town you'll be sorry... well there's only 2/3 chances for you to be town and be sorry" =)

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

for the power... there was the alternative to wait till endgame... but then you actually need to survive till then to use it.

What the hell is up with the forum?  I click reply and I get logged out and my message doesn't get posted?  WTF?

That's about all I got out of it.

reading you makes me think some bad guy jumped time forward to get 2 mafia kills in one night... and Hat darth sacrificing themselves on the same night made it that they basically screwed that plan over. I'm guessing that time thing would have been a one time use.

in any case, we're day 2 and down 2 townies...

(Let's hope this works this time)

This seemed odd to me at first.  I haven't played played as much FF as a lot of people, but I know that the heroes get to use time magic to slow enemies and speed up allies.  So it seemed a little off to assume that the time magic was immediately scum.  The more I think about though, you are probably right.  It would be more beneficial to scum for the Day to be skipped than for the town power roles.  Assuming that the magic skipped the Day, of course.  I'm confused on how exactly the stone dome and the time magic interacted to get us to Day Three.

Well heph's story is interesting.

I want to wait for people to show up and post their thoughts, because right now we've only  had about six people post.

Now I continue with my homework.

I have one question, though:

Wouldn't the twin's ability only have worked for night one?

If the scum did indeed skip day two to get an extra kill attempt, it's kinda odd that Palom and Polom would've managed to stop them both nights, unless their power is that powerful. So there's a possibility of some other role interfering with the mafia in one of the nights.

I hope this is like FFiV and those two get revived. Dtewi only mentioned them turning to stone, after all.

Honestly I'm confused by this. -_-

Okay so Heph is claiming that he used his power last night which was to send anything targetting him elsewhere (with no input on where it would be sent back).

First of all, this seems like a pretty sucky power but that doesn't mean it's not true.

Now, we've gotta ask ourselves, why would Heph make that claim if he were Mafia?

One reason I could see is if he thought for sure that was going to be investigated on Night 1 and then wanted to put out a defense before he was accused. Now Hephaestos has had two good Mafia games but I don't think he's so high profile that he'd be certain of investigation on Night One, so I don't think he'd want to pull off this stunt if he were Mafia.

So I'm going to believe him for now.

Out of curiousity, Heph, how would your power have worked if you used it at the end game?

Signature goes here!

From the flavor text and the fact that one day has vanished I think it's safe to assume that that sucky vilain from FFVIII Ultimecia is part of the Antagonists.

well, I wasn't asked to use my power for night 2, and judging from the reactions I'm seeing, nobody else did either.

The day might just have vanished, like ToS said above. Though for what purpose I'm not sure.

I'm thinking of this "time shifting" thing and almost every FF game has time spells. Haste, slow, stop, etc..

I wonder if there are more of these, and if so, what they might be able to do.

Also, if you recall, dtewi said something about "the day doesn't end until I say it does, and for good reason", so there could be something to this theory.

It will be good to keep this in mind later on, but I'm not sure how valuable of a piece of information it actually is at the moment.
