This is obviously FFIV because there was so much crap going on at night in that game when people were trying to sleep. 

...zzz...

Cid had been lying awake for most of the night, when a peculiar sensation surged through his body. It was as if he had been lurched forward, but looking down he saw that he hadn't shifted in his bed. Then ice cold dread flooded through him. He remembered this situation quite well... on the Eighth Continent... when time had been tampered with...

Cid jumped out of his bed and sprinted down his steps made out of the cases of Dragon Quest and Pokemon and crashed through his door. He sprinted down his driveway into a large field that expanded towards the horizon. The two moons were shining high above. He saw a mass of other figures coming up to the large field. But Cid noticed something... there were less of them now... the antagonists had been together during the night and were putting their plan into action now.

"EVERYONE, GET CLOSE NOW! THE ANTAGONISTS ARE ATTEMPTING TO ATTACK US! EQUIP YOUR WEAPONS! SET YOUR ABILITIES! PUT ON YOUR ARMOR AND CHOOSE THE DEFEND OPTION! HURRY!"

Everyone did as they were told. Soon, they formed a large circle, all of them with their backs each other, staring out across the field. 

Cid was waiting for the inevitable disturbance... he knew it was coming... he was angry... and fearful...

There was a cackle of laughter inside the circle which they had formed. Someone had descended from the sky into the middle of them while their backs were turned. Everyone turned around. Then they were all blasted back 30 feet. They scrambled to their feet and looked at who was there, but the field was too dark to see across.

"You know, I LIKE a little challenge. All of you being grouped together like this makes things TOO EASY!"

Cid dived out of the way of his Black Magic, which he assumed was either Flare or Meteor. 

There were more figures appearing next to the man and they were all indiscernible.

There were screams.  A few fled in terror. Some had their swords, bows, and staffs drawn ready for battle. But two short figures had walked up towards the antagonists, not showing the slightest sign of terror. A sweet girl's voice echoed across the field and Cid knew who it was.... Porom...

"We're not afraid of you! We're willing to risk our lives for our friends!"

Then her twin, Palom, said something too.

"Yeah, you ugly jerks! You can't hold a candle to my supreme black magic!"

Porom slapped Palom.

The twins looked at each other and smiled. The antagonists were just staring, dumbfouned. Then, before they knew it, Palom and Porom had them all sealed in a dome of solid steel.

"Ready, Palom?"

"Ready!"

"BREAK!"

The twins were solid stone, holding the dome in place. Screams of fury echoed inside it, and then explosions. But they were no use. They would have to dig their way out, which might take the rest of the day.

Cid couldn't believe his eyes, what two children had done. He felt guilt and gratitude, which created much emotional instability in him.

Cid went back to his home, and the other people did the same... grateful for what Palom and Porom did.

darth and hatmoza casted Break and are now Stone.

DAY 3 BEGIN!

So nobody died and Darth and hatmoza turned themselves into stone.

Palom and porom are good guys, so darth and hatmoza are protagonist right?

This is as much as we can do, the rest is up to you. When prayers turn to promises, not even fate can stand in their way. We held the light of hope in our hearts and achieved the impossible, now we live on to greet a new dawn.

{/end faint voice} - 

well, I am going to go get a burrito because I can barely make sense of anything that happened. 8th continent,  stone, day 3...
