Japan is the only region to have a GT5 bundle officially announced (which sold out the day after it was announced) but I think it's a bit of a no brainer to assume that there will be a GT5 bundle in all other regions as well. Probably just not with a sweet looking blue console unfortunately.

How can they sell out of Pre-Orders?

It's a special limited edition bundle that they're only making a certain number of. Based on the fact that they made 200k Lightning and GT5P bundles I'm assuming that's how many they're producing in this case as well.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

If the GT5 Bundle comes with a blue PS3, and is not limited in numbers, then GT5 launch will boost more HW then Reach. Even if it is limited editon,, It's soooo blue!!!!

Seriously, I think both will boost hardware, probably GT5 will boost more consoles since it is the first proper GT, and Reach is the second proper Halo on a current gen.

However it depends on ratings. Halo: Reach ratings to me were lower then expected, and I think those 9.3/9.5 ratings will hurt the games sales (as it's no longer that ubber perfect shooter, still amazing). So if GT5 rating are higher, it should sell better comparitivly. However, I don't know if GT5 will get above 9.6/10 ratings.

Still, there are a few factors that could make Halo push more HW, but I vote GT5.

Wait, nevermind, GT5 will of course get a larger hardware boost. It's releasing in November, basically the highest month in consoles sales (along with december). Duh...

But Kinect Halo > Move GT5.... to be fair.

LMFAO@People thinking a racing game gonna move units...That game will be lucky to sell 2 million copies

You obviously don't understand the market, nor Gran Turismo's legacy and brand power.

CGI, why bother even responding to something that's all opinion and not informed at all?  You might as well bash your head against a wall judging by the original comments.

You've got better stuff to discuss, like whether the extra 45 minutes of Heavy Rain content is worth a double dip and trade in or whether to go for the patch and watch the content on Youtube?  I just can't decide at the moment.

Like how you spun that to positive CGI talk!

I'd go for the double dip, but then again, I may not be the best one to question on that!

What the hell, I might as well double dip on it.  I want to play through to try out the various other scenarios, but I've been waiting for Move to arrive to do so.  Guess I quick trade in / trade up will be in order.

At least I held of buying RE5 to wait for the Gold edition - so I don't have the issue their of having to do the same.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Why do you say the racing genre is dying out?

Because it is, there's only a few good racing titles out there anymore worth purchasing. plus the total units sold on popular racing titles get's lower and lower with every sequel ect... . FPS are dominating the market right now. Unless a developer adds somthing fresh to to racing genre it's on a def. down spiral

There is only so much you can do with driving games.  Detail put into driving games ends up going into things that are more for gear heads.   For FPS, you can introduce new modes and features, and keep it fresh. It can go into different directions, as is seen with Borderlands, as an example.  You can also do like Rage, where an FPS also gets a driving game attached to it.

This being said, Gran Turismo is an entirely different animal than your normal driving game as far as relevance go.  It may be possible though, that GT5 moves more consoles than Reach, but Reach outsells GT5.

Yeah, that's probably the reason...so you think GT5 won't be good and fresh?

I didn't say it won't be good but, I'm afraid that racing games just aren't that popular like it used to, sad really.

Mario Kart Wii???

It may not sell 10 million, but GT5 should break 8 million. The racing genre is supposedly "oversaturated", but a crown title like GT should break the mold. Just not as well as before due to the smaller install base.

He is entitled to his own opinion. I bet a lot of people gave up on GT because of this horrendous wait.

I WANT IT .....in 2 weeks, Halo now.
