I hate this, and this is coming from someone who really doesn't have anything to say about Microsoft consoles/games.
I honestly respect trolls more than anyone who trash talks an older game. Maybe trash talk is too strong of a word, but if you're going to play a game that's almost ten years old for the first time and judge it as if it was released in the current generation, I really can't take your opinion seriously anymore. Now I've personally never played Halo: Combat Evolved (nor care for it) but I believe people who say it revolutionized the FPS. The fanbase is too huge to ignore and it must be doing something right.
Same goes for people who played Final Fantasy VII recently and took shots at it.

WTF ? I'm not trash talking by any means.
Where have I said ANYTHING negative about the game ? Other than saying that its repetitive.....and the little dudes are annoying. I haven't even finished the game yet, and I just said that it was not what I expected it to be so far. That is all. It probably gets better as it goes on.
Anyway, to the people saying that the PC version sux @ only 83 metacritic vs 97 metacritic for xbawx, its still the same game, isn't it ? PC version was a 2 year late port...so the lower reviews are understandable.

What do you think the reaction would be in the Sony forum if I created a thread called "Gran Turismo is nothing". The people that wouldn't be calling me a troll would be saying that I was being unfair to the game.
I'm sure if I played the original Gran Turismo now I wouldn't be as impressed as those that played it when it was first released (especially considering that we have stuff like Forza 3 and Gran Turismo 5 now). But it would be unfair for me to say the original was nothing special because at the time it was special and groundbreaking.
Also the repetitive nature of some parts of the original Halo was even acknowledged by Bungie and is a valid complaint but that is a very minor flaw when the game did so many other things right. Part of the problem also is that Halo is more than just a quick single player play through (multiplayer and mastering it on legendary made me really appreciate it and realize just how amazing it was).
