Curious about the hype, I guess. Or just reaching the right age. I mean, some people weren't alive when the first Super Mario came out. Maybe their first Mario game was Super Mario 3 or Super Mario 64 or something. People have to start, somewhere.
Storywise it's also the first Halo game (besides Halo Wars...) so a good point to get into the series.
