Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
Anyone notice how the official video is like a documentary and makes the F.O.E.s sound like some distant threat, while the sheer terror in the fan video makes them sound like they're going to sneak into your house and kill you while you sleep... or just bulldoze down the house with you in it.
That's one of my favorite videos.

you have to open it , here is how
"Hold the book with its back on a smooth or covered table; let the front board down, then the other, holding the leaves in one hand while you open a few leaves at the back, then a few at the front, and so on, alternately opening back and front, gently pressing open the sections till you reach the center of the volume. Do this two or three times and you will obtain the best results. Open the volume violently or carelessly in any one place and you will likely break the back and cause a start in the leaves. Never force the back of the book."

haha iosys, that video made me actually try the first etrian odyssey. Got pwned often by these FOEs...they're really frustrating and usually much more powerful than your party.
The game overall got boring for me rather quick, because it's mostly a grinding-simulator RPG.
