The attach ratio numbers seem a little fishy

It probably includes downloadable games and maybe includes rentals/borrowed titles if they measured it electronically via PSN. Furthermore if it was PSN based then the selection bias would predict that a more hardcore audience would be represented as people whom don't use PSN would probably have fewer retail games on average and no PSN titles.

Tease.

What the hell is that big blue brick they called a "PS2"?

That's the box it comes in, genius.

bast on the current PS2 sales I wonder how much longer SONY will keep it on the market before they retire it.

Maybe they should've used a different pic for the EyeToy. They say that the EyeToy launched in Nov. 2003 and have it placed on top of a slim PS2. Then later in Nov. 2004, they say that the slim PS2 launched. ;-p

- Wasteland - The Mission.

Two things:

1.The PS1 wasn't overwhelmingly powerful when it debuted.  Some could argue that the N64 (which came out a year later) AND the Saturn (which came out months before) were more powerful.

2.  The PS2 didn't introduce the ability to play audio CDs.  Everything from the PS1 to the Turbo-Duo could play CD's.

Aside from that, it was interesting and fun to read.  Go Playstation!!

Yeah maybe, but it held it's own for a long time even with pixels instead of texels. The N64 was nearly two times more powerful but suffered from massive memory bottlenecks that would make the PS3 architecture look perfect. As far as graphics-to-hardware are concerned, both the PS1 and the GC trully striked gold.

Some of these statistic aren't something to brag about.

They should have added how many people got a second job for a ps3. We would finally know if Sony PR works!

The girlfriend and social aspects of the survey seems... well disturbing... also I wonder who was given this survey it doesn't seem like a random survey rather one given to people on a Playstation mailing list or something, especially based on that collection stat, since bigger gamers would sign up for the mailing list while the guys that buy it and get a few games wouldn't care.
