Yeah maybe, but it held it's own for a long time even with pixels instead of texels. The N64 was nearly two times more powerful but suffered from massive memory bottlenecks that would make the PS3 architecture look perfect. As far as graphics-to-hardware are concerned, both the PS1 and the GC trully striked gold.
