Just glad to see Mafia II doing so well in sales.  I have been playing the game for 10 hours now and I am loving it and  I am only halfway done.  How can someone finish this game in under 8 or 10 hours is beyond me.   I still don't understand all of the average reviews out there.  The story alone is worth the price of admission.  I just love driving and upgrading my cars.  And the graphics are great.  Plus,  the DLC is more open than the main game, so you can go with that if you want.  One last word about atmosphere: my wife is not one who enjoys video games, but she was hooked from the start by the attention to details, the look, the feel, the music.  SUPERB!

Took me 12 hours to finish it and do all the achievements except the Wanted posters.

But I agree it's really good. The story, the gameplay and the atmosphere are great. Driving also works very well.

I have finished it within 11 hour. Did not go for achievements etc. But liked the gameplay, story and voiceover very very much. Don't know how the reviewers review games.

But I am little dissappointed with the ending. Vito should have jumped from the car in order to save his friend. I don't understand how he could sit tight when he knew that Joe is going to die.

I just finished it in 9 hours.

I can understand the average reviews because I think the gameplay and game design was pretty lacking.

I only really got into the story near the end because there wasn't a lot of cohesion between missions at first I thought. Attention to detail was superb, but that's just a waste if the gameplay is lacking.
