Take my love, take my land..
For me Stryper. Loved them when I was a kid and I still do.
Iron Maiden comes in second place.
Alice in Chains is far down the list but was still a very good band.
Suede. later known as The Tears. Their music is so incredibly emotional and it takes me to a different world when I listen through their albums. They are also the only band where I literally love every single song they've ever written.
So many memories of my childhood are packed into the songs, from the most exciting times of my life, to people I used to love and be around all the time. All of which I can no longer have, only memories remain, and this music brings it all back to me so strongly that I cry every time I hear certain songs. Every time. I mean real crying.

I like hearing about different bands being brought up here. I can make a list and give them a listen.
Thanks
I have been listening to AFI and the hives of late
The song Black Sabbath by BS sacred the shit out of me when I was 12 and 13
Thunder and the tolling bells and the smashing evil riff and a demon chasing a guy
Probably Bob Dylan, though it's hard not to ramble off a list of blues musicians that are just as emotionally draining as he.
I don't get all emotional about it but I love Boston, The Clash, Rise Against, Van Halen, etc.
I have to admit Beyonce is rather ok better then GaGa but I wouldn't want to start an argument over it
