He's an idiot if he thinks he'll have as much creative freedom with Microsoft as he has now. They'll ask him to churn out sequel after sequel and if he doesn't want to make them, well tough luck! With Sony he isn't being forced to make the sequel for Heavy Rain. With Microsoft, they'd be pressured to high heavens, I'm willing to bet.

I think expanding their market is the best thing they can do. This should never create compromise to their games though, but if games like Heavy Rain can reach a much larger audience than that's an incredible win for fans of Quantic Dream and their type of games. And a game like Heavy Rain would be very interesting to have on Kinect.

So I definitely want them to expand to a larger audience, but only as long as the gameplay will remain uncompromised.

But didn't their previous games sell less despite being multiplat?

Were they not marketed as good as heavy rain?

They were not, and the games weren't as good. Much of the reason why Heavy Rain is the success it is has to do with Sony and their support of the title, but if this type of game is to become more popular, then they need a larger audience. If they do go multiplat, hopefully they can find a publisher that can give them the kind of support Sony has given them.

And I know some people think that they should stay loyal to Sony because of their help, and Sony deserve huge credit for that, but if the genre of games is to see more success than a bigger userbase is one of the fastest ways to accomplish that.

Yeah thats really the KEY. But will others give them similar support?

I mean we don't want them going to SEGA who market games by handing out flyers lawllawlalwlalwllllllll

well as long as SONY is publishing the PS3 version they won't need that much support for the multiplat publisher.

I'm not sure I understand what your saying

SONY don't publish multiplats for their system........

Ghostbusters the video game says hi.

so what makes you think there won't be another exception lol, I was never claiming that it was going to be a rule that sony publish all multiplats anyway lol, just pointing out it was a possibility.

The possibility is there, but its very low isn't it......I think its so low that its not worth considering

lol whatever, I was just saying it was a possibility not likely, it would explain SONY publishing their next game and it being multi tho.

p.s. "Lets disagree to agree?!" I haven't heard that one lol

Naturally. But they will certainly pressure them into making sequels by throwing money around.

I would have imagined they'd stay with Sony after the success they had with the first game. Sony done a good job hyping and marketing the title for them. David Cage even mentioned that having the support of Sony behind them was the best stance they could have in the industry.

To branch out would certainly mean QD have become more confident as a developer, and Sony must not have an interest in aquiring the studio.

Why? if you mean throw money to buy "timed exclusive" contract then you might have a point....
