Only sad thing about these death threat is that they aren't real.
Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I don't care for exclusivity or multiplat. I just want this franchise to disappear from the face of the earth so other deserving RPGs can finally rise. |
I doubt it... I sure hope this wouldn't be reason. I thought people would be more rationale than that. As it's just selling the US version of the game with subtitles in Japan.
The much more reasonable reason is they don't like the franchise anymore or the direction it's going so they don't buy it. Not because of a port.
no way in hell SE get boycotted as a whole though.. That's Delusional.
Dragon Quest is still SE. As well as everything Taito.
Plus you said you liked Crisis Core which was two years ago anyways if I remember.

Thats probably Sony's own Yakuza
- Wasteland - The Mission.

You simply get the better version if you wait. I would have loved to have the extras that the PS3 version got but I'm sure the PS3 players would have also loved to play the game a year earlier. That's just how things work. |
360 Bioshock fans did throw a hissy fit when the port was announced, just go back and read the comments of the announcement articles. The Mass Effect 2 meltdown was much worse. The difference is that Final Fantasy is a larger franchise than the other two, so everything involving it get's alot more coverage from game sites. Also take into account that meltdowns usually happen on less respectable sites like IGN, N4G, Kotaku, Youtube, Twitter etc.
OT: Final Fantasy fans should get over it and Square Enix should stop being dicks with everything they do, you either follow through with something you promise or you just tell everyone outright what your plans are instead of tip toeing around everything while making more announcements of upcoming announcements.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Yes thats how it works, and it still understandable why it angry fan, one way or another. Like for bioshock, im sure there was angry fan out there. Not only because PS3 was getting a better version, but also because it wasnt available for them. Even more so with final fantasy 13, theres aggravating elements. Like the suppose DLC or the extra content remove from the first release. Also, the certification from Square Enix it would stay a japan exclusive. So not only its not exclusive (no big deal really) but the extra content will not even be available for the current fans who was told it was a PS3 exclusive. Im not saying thats not how it works, simply that its understandable for fans to be angry.

I'm sorry, you must have missed the post where I don't count the people bitching about FFXIII as fans and therefore it would be hard for you to assume I don't consider those people actual fans either. My mitsake and I apologize.
So, yeah, I don't consider those people actual fans. I consider them pretty worthless and only a small step above pirates (and only that small step because they at least buy games).

No, no, no. That's my mistake, I'm sorry to have troubled you and I hope you have a fine day (Tips the hat).

I also missed that post where you dictate what is a fan, im very sorry. After all, we all know a fan wouldnt mind not being able to play the extra contents. He can only blame himself for not getting all consoles.
