I doubt it... I sure hope this wouldn't be reason. I thought people would be more rationale than that. As it's just selling the US version of the game with subtitles in Japan.
The much more reasonable reason is they don't like the franchise anymore or the direction it's going so they don't buy it. Not because of a port.

Plus you said you liked Crisis Core which was two years ago anyways if I remember.
