Well I was looking at some number and realized that Halo 3 is still the highest selling FPS on 360 in both the America's and Japan.  So Halo 3 would actually still be ahead of MW2 WW if it wasn't for EMEAA.  

So the question is with the purchase of used game sales as well as a larger 360 install base has the Halo brand increased enough in the region for Halo Reach to oustell MW2?

I think its certainly possible especially with all the love the UK has been giving the 360.

That's a good point. I hadn't thought about used games sales effecting the popularity of a brand. It's true that while Halo 3 sold a ton many of those games were resold in some way or another and maybe even more than once. Nobody tracks used game sales so who knows how many people played it.

However you do have to consider that people that bought Halo 3 used may be likely to wait and buy Halo Reach used. It's almost impossible to guess how used games effect a a game's sequal in user sales.

We'll find out after Halo Reach hits the market if it does better than Halo 3. If it does it's very possible that used game sales helped grow the brand.

uk alone cant puch halo up, i dont think it will.

The negatives are the prequel status and no Master Chief.  Those are more than offset by the userbase being far bigger and the new game engine will mean better visuals etc.  Despite a recent comment from Bungie about possibly working on a Halo title some day most fans are expecting this will be it for the original series.  It's going to sell more and possibly a lot more than H3 imo.  Outsell MW2 LT?  I think so but Black Ops could take the title as top-seller on 360 before that.  That's based on pre-order trends.  I should probably have waited for some reviews.  Not sure why MW is bigger in EMEAA and I don't see why used sales would be a bigger issue or give a bigger push there than in Am.  Reach should be closer based on more boxes in EMEAA than when MW2 launched though so that may be enough to push it into second eventually. 

Halo is more popular than Cod on Xbox in Americas and Japan... After Reach EMEAA will follow... Here in Portugal is very famous , many people play more H3 than Cod MW2. French and Germans also play alot of Halo so i believe Halo will Crush Mw2 especially on UK!

Yeah I'm really hoping so.

I was shocked that currently there's more copies of Halo 3 sold in America's and Japan than MW2.  I figured since MW2 passed Halo 3 WW it must have outsold it in America but thats not the case.  It undoubtedly will eventually but still hasn't yet.

It wont, after MW3 comes out nobody will buy MW2.

So why is Cod4 still on Top40 on the U.K ?
