Forums - Sales - 360 Closing 43M - Will it Beat 50M by Years End ?

Next Week 360 should bt at 43M but the question is : Can it beat 50M by years end?

i think so!

Around the Network

No.

Yes, but most people with ps stuff in their sig will day no.

Shipped, pretty likely. Sold, stands a good chance, needs to rise Year on year by about 1.5 mill from here on out though.

Possible, but unlikely. If  they did they would have to sell more in the last 4mths then they ever have by  a fair bit, Kinect for me is the wild card, if it really does take off it then that could push it over.

Well last year the 360 sold over 5 million units throughout September - December.

They should definitely hit 48 million by the end of the year. 50 million seems unlikely.

I think that it is pretty likely. The last quarter of the year usually brings in a huge amount of sales because of the holidays. I also think that Halo Reach, Kinect, and the 360s will play a huge part increasing sales.

LOL!

OT:  Since the question is 'can' it, the answer would have to be 'yes'.  Of course it can.  At this point, though, its impossible to say that it will.  We don't know what affect Halo Reach will have on sales, we don't know if there is a price cut coming and we don't know if Kinect will push sales in a noteworthy way.  So, all in all, now its way too hard to say.

So then WHEN could we safely make such an analytical project?  I say when we get in first week numbers for Kinect's release.  That's when we'll know if the 360 will have a modestly better year than last or if its . . .

No, everyone here thinks the next few months the 360 will only sell a few more units, thats how it rolls on this forum anyways...

Getting back to your post, they might just do, Halo Reach will help to  sell around a million 360s in September, October will continue to ride the wave, November is a typically large month with December normally pulling in between 2-3.5 million units being sold so its no out of the question.

With Reach, it wouldn't surprise me.
