Yeah, but asking people online "who plays online" ins't the most representative of samples, is it?

Sure, the PS3 data used a similar sample, but it's still not all that good.

actually, people that don't play online are just blanks in such survey..

which console do you play the most online with?

PS3

Wii

None.

the 3rd answer does not affect the ratio of the most used console.

I can affect.

There's bound to be a difference between the ratio of people who have a wii and acces that site/people who have a wii and the ratio of have a PS3 and acces that site/people who have a PS3.

So, in other words every version of this game will be gimped one way or the other.

Job well done!

That's a shame

I think this is a sign of a rushed-to-market project,  without full (sufficient) resources being put behind it.

Given the choice between BAD and NO on-line, I would rather NO.

Given that EA shuts down servers within two years of a game's release, long-term I would rather have the focus be on off-line play for this title.

The $64 question is whether on-line play was ever promised and then yanked away. The best I can remember, was EA saying it would be investigated/tried.

As for the DLC versions on PSN and XBLA -- that appears to me to be  a new retail purchase bonus.

Is EA good in this .. NO?

Is EA worse than Activision to the Wii? ... Toss-up -- though at least EA did not release Big League Sports, Birthday Bash, Pirate's Quest, Pitfall Big Adventure, Block Party, or Arcade Zone (the latter two of which I own) -- or too many Guitar Hero games and too late CoD:MW. Compared to that line-up,  EA has only really done one minigame collection that was not part of a running series  -- EA Playground and that was 2007.

here we go again. once this game bombs, EA will blame the userbase. they'll say "See, See! the wii userbase is only casual and they dont want quality core/sports games!". eventually they will stop developing core/sports games for wii and use this as their excuse....yeah, screw EA....

come to think of it, EA not devolping for the wii is becoming more of a good idea....

Yeah I agree, making the excuse of not selling because of the casualz would be a contradiction  lol

Plus wouldn't that mean they don't care about online?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I think it's actually one of those tittles that can go well for both camps, since it's sort of a revival of a classic.
