Barbara Mori is not Mexican, she's Uruguayian/Japanese.

She is of Uruguayian/Japanese and Mexican heritage. She is also a naturalized Mexican. As you can tell by the "Kite" commercial she identifies herself as Mexican. When any media report on her, they refer to her as Mexican. She says she is Mexican.

Rather odd considering she'd probably have to play ~22 or so.

Yeah, she's about 32, and way too old. She would be a better choice if she were younger.

The Transformers movies are an aberration.
