sure why not, I mean after Wind Waker all we got was Ocarina of Time 1.5 and (seemingly) 1.7

Not sure to be honest. They did good with the Prime series and from the looks of things are going to do well with Donkey Kong. Guess I cant really say till I saw a gameplay video, but by then it would be a bit late for my opinion to matter. I wouldnt mind them doing there own thing though. I am only aware of the Metroid and now Donkey Kong Country game. Have they ever had thier own stuff?

The director of the Capcom Zeldas (Hidemaro Fujibayashi) joined Nintendo after Flagship was shut down and he's actually directing Skyward Sword.

Of course! Considering they made 3 awesome Metroid games and my DK game, why not?

Zelda, as a series, is built on experimentation and different forms. Some of its best games have come about as a result of these experimentations.
There is no reason that Miyamoto shouldn't be involved in a Zelda project.
Short answer: No. I would not like it.
Explanation: The Zelda franchise needs to be retired for a few years on all fronts until something truly new can be done with it, and so that gamers aren't all like me--and simply tired of seeing it over-used.
Secondary: Retro is easily one of the most talented studios around. I would much rather Nintendo let them run free with a project of their own creation. I want to see what they come up with.

Miyamoto hasn't been the top guy behind Zelda in a while, he's more of an advisor. It's all Eiji Aonuma these days. And most Zelda "experiments" have just been cosmetic--just different graphical styles, and a unique gimmick each time. The truly experimental Zelda titles don't include Princess Zelda or Gannondorf.
Zelda 1, Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle Ages, Oracle Seasons, Minish Cap--all play roughly the same way with everything after Link to the Past being made on the foundation built by that game. The other half of this is Ocarina, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, etc (the 3-D ones)--all these play roughly the same way.
To be fair, Zelda II was the biggest experimental leap in the series where gameplay (and plot, I guess) is concerned. And where plot alone is concerned, Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening are the biggest experiments.
No. I do not want Retro to make a Zelda game.
The only reason that I say this is because I live in the past and don't want to see any progress made with the Zelda series. If they went back to 8 bit graphics with a top view, I'd be cool with that.
Wait...
Did I violate one of your guidelines since I just ripped on myelf and I, myself, am a Zelda fan? I am truely puzzled.

Yes. You are banned from all future discussions about Zelda in perpetuity until the Sun goes out.
