Well . . . it IS free.  I mean how much can they justify spending on something that doesn't make them money but actually cuts into the bottom line continually?  Especially when a competitor offers a similar service and makes a KILLING off of it?

You've got something with WKC. SONY owns the IP but that was mainly LV5 developed. However, DS was a SCEJ project. Was co-developed with FS, and I remember reading back that it was the one of the main guys at SCEJ that took interest in bring King's Field to PS3 and that evolved into doing a successor instead which became Demon's Souls.

SCEJ's moves have been primarily Japan focused. This I can agree with. Heavy focus on portables and some PSN games.  Haven't really bothered to develop any PS3 titles 100% solo. The only 2, one's been in development for lord knows how long [i know one possible reason but I'd rather avoid the flames]. The other, well, that development team can no longer be called "the Olympic Team". 4 years have passed. 2009 is behind us now.

EDIT: There's Eye of Judgement. Forgot that. Guess there's one PS3 game fully developed by SCEJ

My thoughts on these list being posted:

Pointless. I was hoping this would stick to PS3 games. If you wanna count PSP games, SCEJ wins. If you wanna count PSN, SCEA wins.  I see people posting PSN stuff for SCEJ yet completely ignoring Fat Princess, flow, flower, crash commando (Eu) and so many others).

Anyway. I love Demon's Souls as much as the next guy but raw PS3 games developed fully by first party, SCEJ only has one on the market (Eye of Judgement). Pointless to list the ones from SCEA/E; we know they each top SCEJ. Firmware is developed in Japan so any complaints about that HAS to go to SCEJ.

See, after the quick round-up about what to expect for PlayStation in the near future (more on that later as well!), I and a few others sat down with Dave Epke, one of Sony’s press officers and had quite an interesting chat. Several subjects came up, but there were two that I think are worth telling you about: Supposedly, a Japanese first party studio is working on a “crazy” new title for PS3.

When we talked about the Tokyo Game Show this year, he mentioned that he got to see footage of this new game when he was in Japan not too long ago. “It looked crazy! Really, I don’t know how they come up with that stuff.” So, I asked him about what kind of game it is, but he couldn’t tell me. “I really love my job”, he said. “You’ll just have to wait”.

Finally, he did mention that it kinda reminded him of LittleBigPlanet. He wondered if Sony Japan will show this new title at the TGS this year. Well, I certainly hope so!

Here we go again...

I heard this same crap two years ago. SSJ2 [think that's his name] or someone was saying the same thing. If it's true then fuck SCEJ. The time and resources going into this could have been used in soo many other things.

Well, Whatever. I have faith from SCEJ. Ape escape is also coming so whatever! and I just got it from the link provided by the OP so like I said I will put my faith from SCEJ.
