Also, I don't think this will have any impact on sales. In fact, its just more advertising.

Might have wanted to include that part that stated "from military stores".  Kinda important.  And I don't know why Gamestop is doing it... I doubt it is from military or government pressure.  Probably doing it for the sake of their own PR.

Yeah that "from military stores" part is kinda important. I can understand why they did it,  but I think they should have let the people buying it make the choice if they wanted it or not.   If it wasnt selling they could have sent the unsold copies to other stores

You would think having the Taliban in the game would make more US soldiers want it more......so why would they not sell the game at military bases?

GameStops are on most, if not all, major military bases.  Some bases have more than one.  Like Burger King, they have a contract with the US military to set up shops on-base.  Video games are hugely popular for the average US soldier.

I can see the potential touchiness given the close-mindedness of some of the older members of the military--many of whom may be the same kind of people that don't understand gaming.  Like the one dickweed who coined the phrase "murder simulator."  Dammit, who was that...?  He was featured in the film Moral Kombat...
