You know.. I was thinking... what if this is a test?
That the friends actually know he is kinda gay...
and they use Pam to find out...
how's that for paranoia... :)

OMG! Now you really got me thinking. Now I he needs a plan that covers that possibility too. Lol, this is getting very complicated.
"I don't understand how someone could like Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, but not like Twilight!!!"
"Last book I read was Brokeback Mountain, I just don't have the patience for them unless it's softcore porn."

The problem isn't paranoia it's cowardice. Instead of telling the girl the truth and giving her closure in the situation you want to string her along and let her think there is a chance in the future for her to get with your friend.
I met a girl in 7th grade and we were good friends until we graduated. She told me before we went to college that if I asked, she would marry me. I knew I would never marry her and I told her straight up. I honestly cried because I lost a dear friendship and I missed her and she was hurt. 6 years later she marries another guy and now we are hanging out again. These situations suck but you have to deal with it and not give her the run around. A bunch of people in this thread have said to be honest and you ignore those posts. Man up and take responsibility.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Thanks for actually taking this seriously. He plans on travelling this year, before he starts Uni next year (doesn't know how he'll get the money for it though. Anyways both your versions are good. I'll pass them along to him tomorrow (hope he doesn't mind, he doesn't know I posted this on here, but I'm just trying to help). Hope other people post valid solutions. I think he's meeting her tomorrow, so there's still enough time to create an elaborate plan with back-up plans, and emergency escape measures (lol, I love doing stuff like this). |
Not a problem at all; I figure that if I can't help myself, I'll help as many others as I can. And for the shits and giggles, I'll take that scenario 3 and post for it. (Of course, I don't mean in a non-serious way; relationships are one of those things I do take very seriously.)
"A relationship with you just isn't going to work. Right now, my money's fairly tight, and I plan on going on a few trips to gather information before I head away to college next year. There's just no way that I'd be able to afford bringing a second person along and then have any money at all for college. And this would hurt me, because if I were really with you, I would want to bring you along. Even when I start school again, I just wouldn't have the time to devote to you that you would deserve. You still have your young years ahead of you also, asking you to wait at least 7 years is just impractical. Give up on me, it can't happen, sorry."

Oh yeah, one other question, sorry- where is he meeting her tomorrow? That would depend on what the escape routes should be...

Nothing has to be "wrong with her" for him to not be interested in dating her. He can just say he's not infatuated and interested in her in more than anything than a friend.
I have plenty of friends who are girls. All are very pretty, very nice, and very smart. But I'm not attracted to any of them and I would never date them. They are my friends. It's simple really, and your friend should have no trouble turning her down. If the mental spark between the two people and the physical conncetion aren't there, then no interest will be created. It's as simple as that.

tell her shes fat, large and kinda round.
say hes impotent and knows how much she loves cock
say she has wierd tits ...and nasty snatch gunk
"I like my steaks how i like my women. Bloody and all over my face"
"Its like sex, but with a winner!"

Uhh. It's obvious what to do.
If he/you thinks she's a cool chick he should hang out with her anyway, if she asks him/you out he/you should just say 'no'. Life continues. Yay.
