Forums - Sony - Don't expect to experience success when waggling with MOVE.

. . . . . . . . Is there anybody here that thought this looks remotely fun?

Not sure about remotely..but it looks like fun...

This is how Motion sensing should be..accurate and some are selling casuals a bit too short here. I assure you many would actually like a bit more realistic nature in 'sports' titles and will do fine with it.

It just didn't look fun to me, though.  I appreciate and understand the accuracy of the motion controls.  This isn't commentary on Move as a product,  just on this particular mode of this game.  More realistic doesn't always make it fun.  In fact, almost everything that we do in games would be less fun if it was extremely realistic.

So I just don't see the way these developers implemented the controls in the game in this video as something fun.

If they are smart they will have adjustments for the sensitivity and accuracy of the controller for games like that so the fat and lazy and casuals can play and enjoy the games as well. Kinda like having Easy, normal, and hard difficulty for regular games.

Gamers have no clue what doom they're asking for with "1-to-1 functioning motion controls!~!~!"

You would never, ever, ever enjoy a sports game with 1-to-1 controls. Ever. Unless you're extremely proficient at the sport, in which case, you would probably rather go out and play it since it's your hobby.

Tiger Woods would NEVER sell if it had 1-to-1. I don't want to sound rude, but any gamer asking for a 1-to-1 golfing game has most likely never gone out and actually hit a ball before. Or they're smoking crack. I recommend going out to the golfing range at least, and coming back after hitting a bucket, and telling me you want 1-to-1 controls.

Shut the heck up with this stupid 1-to-1 crap, it isn't what is healthy for the industry.

There's a certain point in reaching realism that we can all enjoy, but once you pass a certain point and become too realistic, no one will enjoy it anymore.

I honestly had no idea that some people played Wii Sports like that. That kid fails.

That sucks, it's so accurate that you have to stand in a certain spot?  That's too accurate actually.

There's a point where it's going to be too much work to play a game, thats where casuals say "screw this" towards games that hardcores don't care for.  You might as well play real ping pong at that point!

Actually, no...the guy was being a HUGE douchebag....trying to be the "boss" over his kid. Directing him around and all.... pathetic really.

He was kind of an ass to his own kid there.

It's his step-son but you are right, he is acting like a douche and making the kid seem like an idiot, forgetting that he is over 20 years younger than him.

How do you know ? Are you the guy in the vid ?

It looks far too hard for what should have been a game targetted at everyone.  The guy can brag about 1:1 all he wants but I can't see any casuals playing it at a party or a kiosk or wherever and then wanting to go out and buy a PS3 for Move.

lol the kid doesnt understand?   he keeps doing that lol

I think the kid says it best a 0:37.

If you missed it he said "I like the Wii."

By the way I am 100% sure Nintendo could have done a much more "hardcore" table tennis game than their current one if they had wanted to with the motion plus, but they probably had the brain not to, as shown here.

I also have my own ping pong table and set up, so why the hell should I bother with a pathetic game if it's gonna be the same damn thing anyhow?

lol he's playing the PSmove using the wii sensor bar !
