On the one hand, that's cool. On the other hand, what are the chances of this seeing a US release...?
You know, 3rd party not-exactly-well-known hardcore titles do so well on the system.

How could they become hits on the 360 and PS3 if those people don't know about the games? Last I checked, niche games were still niche on those systems. So that statement is logical garbage.
The advantage of the Wii is that niche games are more likely to make a profit, which isn't absolute, but does reduce the rist.

So angry for no reason...
The Wii is no more likely to sell a niche title than the Xbox360 or PS3 and the overall sales of the Wii don't make is so. For one thing, the Wii has far, far, far more (dare I say) casual gamers on it than the Xbox360 or PS3, and they're not going to be interested in niche titles--nor are they going to know about them. These are people who bought the Wii for Wii Sports or Wii Fit and the immense sales of the latter, and steady popularity ofthe former, show that the casual gamer crowd vastly overtakes the hardcore crowd, and therefore, vastly overtakes the niche gamer crowd. These casual folks get their information on games from places like Yahoo or the salesman at Target (a company with a notoriously awful game selection), and not from the kinds of places we gamers do--there's no way they're going to know about the niche stuff. Which, you have to admit, is kind of a shame.
Hell, I'm a niche gamer. I'm one of, like, 30 people that actually bought Geometry Wars: Galaxies.
Frankly, I would say that niche titles have a much better chance on the Xbox360 than the Wii any day since the Xbox360 actively supports niche titles and indie development. Games like Zombie Estate and (chuckle) Baby Maker Extreme.
Oh, case in point, Onechanbara sold better on the Xbox360 despite lower sales of the console, and generally worse reviews than the Wii version. You don't get much more niche than that calamity. Yeah, I bought that thing, too--the Xbox360 version.
You're just making an assumption that niche games will sell on the Wii just because it has higher sales, which ignores a lot of variables. You can't just go by sales alone. Capcom did that, and if they hadn't, Monster Hunter 3 would likely be enjoying higher success had it gone PSP or remained on the PS3. After all, despite lower overall sales of the PSP, the Monster Hunter games typically sold better than on Monster Hunter 3. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite--4.74 million on PSP. Monster Hunter Freedom 2--2.42 million on the PSP. Monster Hunter Freedom--1.43 million on the PSP. Monster Hunter 3--1.57 million on Wii. Had they stuck with Sony, they probably would've managed much higher sales. There's no way to know that for sure, but statistically speaking, Monster Hunter is seen as a Sony franchise, and with Sony it found it's best success.
I'm not going to blame you, you're obviously a massive Nintendo fan, and no doubt, you did the same thing as me and made similar points about how the GameCube--a system with very low sales--was a better place for niche titles. After all, I bought Killer7 and Ikaruga. But logically, there's no reason the Wii is a better platform for niche titles than anywhere else, especially given the library of actual niche titles available on the Xbox360.
And everyone should get Zombie Estate. You haven't lived until you've seen that a rocket launcher just isn't enough to handle all the zombies onscreen. C'mon, it's only a buck!
