I think there might be too many DS games coming out for the 3DS to be released later this year. Not the least of which is the third Golden Sun title.
Like most people, I envision the game being out in Japan before the end of the year, and North America around February or March.
I guess we'll have to wait and see, but if the order of their price cuts is any indication, then the Japan-November, US-February sounds about right.
Always dodgy to buy shares, there could be a time when you lose money, but with 3DS on it's way, it's safe for the time being.
Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,
mario maker
new 3ds
yoshi woolly world
zelda U
majora's mask 3d

I don't get that. Also, I see many people literally collecting stock. They just buy it and that's it. I don't get it. The fact someone is a stock holder, makes that person earn money on a long term basis? If yes, how? |
People buy stock with the expectation it will go higher. Even if expensive, people will buy more. Without this expectation, even cheap stocks won't sell.
With how the Nintendo DS and Wii were released first in North America and (very) soon after in the rest of the world, I'm not expecting the 3DS to launch months earlier in Japan compared to North America and Europe.

I did not know this, i thought Japan was first.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
You should buy the stocks now, Nintendo are in a very good position going forward and their shares are undervalued due to the quarterly loss they posted.

They posted a loss?
If I recall correctly they made less profit. Loss happens when you don't have a profit and on top of that you even lose money, like Microsft with the Xbox brand till late 2008.
Isn't it?
