Hey that was cool! You know what be even more cool? PUTTING THAT STUFF IN A GAME.

  Yep. Nothing else.

Don't you think maybe the reason it isn't in a game is because the movement is copyrighted by this company livemove?

I would think that has a lot to do with it, because that video was indeed a pitch to developers, but I'm not sure.

The playstation move does all of that by itself, without copyright.

So pretty much a bunch of tech demos in the perfect conditions!!! wow!!

Not really perfect conditions, there are multiple screens behind him(showing the move controller) and it doesn't get confused.

yea it wouldn't be half as precise as that.. =/

mM

The RTS demo is implemented on R.U.S.E.; They did a tech demo on E3 2009 and now we are going to get that in the form of Tumble; Augmented reality being used on Eyepet and Start The Party... some games are using these tech demos, who the hell knows, maybe we will climb trees (like the chameleon) in Sorcery lol. We don't know a lot of games yet, but we can see part of these tech demos applied to games.

what? Now a movement is copyrighted? If that was the case, move wouldn't exist, because it tracks 1:1 just like wm .

This tech demos are showing the raw tech working just like it is, I'm just telling that neither the Wii or the Move has this type of responsive and free control in a game yet. I can't tell this to every Move game though, I only played a few Move games, and no Sorcery, which I believe its the best game for Move.

And when I say that it doesn't work as good as wii sports resort, its not about the movement, because objects really track 1:1 100% the time, (well not quite 100%, but I believe it was due to interference in the showroom), its the gameplay itself and specially the odd physics that makes it not so good as I believe it would be with some more months of polishing.

But you know, Sony needs to launch Move with something that says "sports" in the name. They're following a known success story.

Just to summer up all this: Current move games don't live up to Move capabilities. And that makes clear that it is a flaw in the software front, not the hardware, because er can clearly see it works... in the tech demos.

did you watch the end of the wii demonstration posted above?

He says:
"If you're interested in trying a free trial of this software....."

Leo-j I was at the Gamescom at actually played with move. While it is a very good peripheral in the tech demos, the games itselves don't work as good. It actually doesn't work as good as wii sports, it gave me the sensation that it was being rushed because something that works so good in the tech demos also has to work in the retail games, but that's not the case. And you'll buy the games, not the tech demos.

Yeah me too so what Move games did you play ?

I played Sports Champions and Slider. Also watched other people playing different stuff.

I thought they did a good job with Sports Champions. Only played the archery mode though.

Sliders however... movement didn't work that good.

Thus I'm pretty sure it's more the software's fault than the hardware.

If you guys are stealth bashing Kinect, I can confirm it. It doesn't work that good at all, lol.

But there's a soccer game in the kinect Sports that is fairly good once you get the grip of it.

You have to move slowly and with large movements, but has I said, it works once you realize how the game is tracking you. Pretty fun. Kids were having a blast at the booth. Heck, even I had fun.
