Forums - Gaming - Ubisoft: Kinect and Move will fail - Nintendo 3DS will rule the future

*Raises hand* Just sorta popped into my head today, so we should now all of a sudden trust Ubisoft... when their own support of the 3DS is a terrible looking Ghost Recon game that looks like a normal DS game on the the 3DS and the other being a port of an old Splinter Cell game... which they did that for DS as well... and we see how grand their 3DS support has been.

I do agree with them that the 3DS will the future and I plan on getting one. Kinect and PS Move, not sure how they will do.

BTW: Why is Ubisoft talking so much shit lately?

Probably because their investors are breathing down their collective neck about why their current business model isn't making as much money as they thought they would.

LOL, they think they are clever, they poop on every existent platform, then to avoid, in their plan, looking too crabby, and to establish an unbeatable element of comparison, they praise a platform that isn't on sale yet and they hope investors will swallow that it's not Ubisoft's fault, that it's the current gen that just stinks and must be blamed...

Clever...                                   NOT!

hold on a sec before you slam ubisoft outright on that point about that game look's on the 3DS

Take heed: they may not be able to overcome some problem's not saying they will not be able to, but i would not say there is a good chance that anyone will beable to.Now on a small screen like this it will look fairly good but on the same token there is a couple of thing's that can effect the 3DS when it comes to games resolution and brightness

The reason being:

MasterImage’s 3-D technology that’s used in the Woo is similar to what display maker Sharp has created for Nintendo’s 3DS Portable. Both use the concept of a parallax barrier.

But the ease of use comes at a price. Adding a layer on top of the LCD or OLED screen reduces brightness by up to 50 percent and resolution by almost the same number.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

You've just reminded me of that awesome 4chan thread where your quote is from!

I don't like thread titles like these because i didn't notice the word 'fail' in the interview.

I believe they will fail, my impression from the he/she said is that it will not be very successful

They're developing Driver: Renegade and Assassins Creed for 3DS.

Those should be ok titles I guess.

I posted it because the grammar in the last two sentances of the OP reminded me of it ^_^

I LOVE ICELAND!

Guess they're trying to even the odds, after their lovely Wii comments the other day.

In all seriousness, why develop games for something you deem a failure? Sometimes these devs puzzle me.

Nothing was said about Kinect or Move being failures.  Only the belief that the devices won't extend the life of their platforms.  And I think they could if devs actually get behind the things.

Woh, misleading title! Of course Kinect and Move will not extend their respective console's lifetime, but I don't think they will fail. But Nintendo 3DS sure will rule the future.
