Forums - Nintendo - No Voice Chat For GoldenEye Wii :'(

Well, thats fair if you ask me.

Unlike COD or the upcoming C2, is not as much a game of teams, more than a free for all based game.Sure there are some team modes but i dont see it as the focus of GE mp.

And the other 2 will provide their respective headsets so i will be covered either way when i feel like talking.

I can't really say that I am surprised by this.

While there are many things the Wii does well, on-line is not one of them.  So I would rather have more concentration on making the core element of on-line gaming work rather than wedging in something that does not work as well and lessening the core experience by doing so.

Plus, Goldeneye is meant to be played with others IN THE SAME ROOM!  That is a feature that not enough modern games seem to want to incorporate.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I don't really care that it doesn't support Wii Speak.   That's annoying.  Bad enough if you get some rude punk in Halo, I don't need to hear his younger siblings and mom too with Wii Speak in Goldeneye (or CoD)

Having said that Conduit 2 not only supports Wii Speak, it supports a 3rd party Wii headset which makes it the best featured FPS on Wii easily.    Now if only it doesn't have any game breaking bugs like the first one, it'll be a must have.

People are going to play this online? I was getting it for splitscreen multiplayer...

I'm reading this and seeing that a lot of you seem to forget there's a Wii headset coming out. You don't have to worry about Wii Speak, and hearing other people's voices. Mad Catz are developing a headset for Call of Duty: Black Ops (for all home consoles) and we know that PDP are going to have a headset out as well. Wii Speak would take up a lot of bandwidth for online games, but with the headset it should be much easier to maintain the bandwidth. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

why r people so disappointed, i don't need to here some little teen screaming at the screen.

Nor do I, that is why I mute them in well designed games that feature voice chat then chat to other people and increase the fun.

couldn't had said it better. anyways the game is gonna bomb, nostalgia alone won't save this "remake" which is really a cash-in.

This would never happen if the game was multiplat. Just want Activision to know they lost me with no chat and lost me because its only for the wii. Even though I own the wii. WEAK Stuff.

Keep in mind that the Call Of Duty titles are multiplat and none until now had voice chat in the Wii iterations.
