MGS4 by far the best in its genre but it won't just sell so much more.



The weekly sales will likely see a boost with holiday sales.

I think the 360 will get to 2 million some time next year. The PS3 version might hit 5 million by then. So that's 7 million. Combined legs could make it to 8 million assuming it becomes a Platinum Hit/Greatest Hit on both consoles.

MGS ain't hip anymore. The PSP game bombed.

I don't think it would be able to surpass FFX. Because most of the hardcore fans have already gotten and beateh the game.So there is not much room for casual players to come join the worldwide fan club of FFXIII. But it sure was one of the best FF's

So many huge walls of quotes.....urge to poke out eyes, rising.

 

To the people saying X was the last good one, <Lebowski> That's like, your opinion man</Lebowski>.  I actually think X was the worst FF I played, but that's my opinion :)

 

I think FF XIII will reach 7 million but that'll be about it.  A good game, but I disagreed with a lot of the game design choices.

What price cuts? It already is selling in classics/platinum price range for weeks. The only room to drop is into 10-12 pounds range but not even nier is that low at the moment.

I still haven't picked up XIII yet, I just started playing FF6 and 7 3-4 weeks ago and never knew what I was missing (first FF games I ever played). I'm about 20 hours into both. So figure another 20 hours into each and I will contribute to the XIII sales.

and you are wishing more than doing predictions

you think that price cuts and holidays would just blast sales of the games.but you are fogeting that there are way better games which will get holiday boost and there people will forget this game and the price is already way down,heck it was down from the 3rd week

MGS is very hip still.MGS PSP did good sales for the platform that has the worst softwares sales atm

I don't think that FF13 outsold FF12 yet... the VGC numbers for PS2 games is biased because VGC did not exist or track sales for PS2' generation.

So could be that FF12 is over 5.7M... who knows?

The good thing is that after all that negative publicity FFXIII still performed greatly and any thing above 6m mark is just good news for the series!!!!!!

Yeah i agree with you on that, a good game, just not a good FF imo. i also think about 7mil is about what its capable of reaching. i think that anything post 7 mil is pushing it thou, it seems to have been in the 5.5mil range for the last few months.

for all the people who think that the sales are amazing, lets not forget that MS is rumoured to have given them $75mil for marketing, so imo at least 6-7mil sales is about right, anything less would be very dissappointing.
