The FF series is known for having legs,

FF was also higher rated,more loved and popular

even then it has not be known for having legs

FF games have always sold all of their sales in the first 6 months,they barely sell after that

there is still room for price cuts, and it doesn't look like XIII will just fade into obscurity with XIV being online only and XIII Versus coming eventually.

i took the price cuts into consideration and even then it will be very very hard to do more 2.2m

Also, I don't believe any of the upcoming "blockbusters" are JRPG. Thus FFXIII will remain king of that genre on HD consoles.

sure it will but nobody cares and how it scored and how people didn't like it much didn't really make it popular.

you always talk like price cuts and being the best in that genre means it will get big sales ,that doesn't always happen

MGS4 by far the best in its genre but it won't just sell so much more.

The weekly sales will likely see a boost with holiday sales.

I think the 360 will get to 2 million some time next year. The PS3 version might hit 5 million by then. So that's 7 million. Combined legs could make it to 8 million assuming it becomes a Platinum Hit/Greatest Hit on both consoles.

you think that price cuts and holidays would just blast sales of the games.but you are fogeting that there are way better games which will get holiday boost and there people will forget this game and the price is already way down,heck it was down from the 3rd week

MGS is very hip still.MGS PSP did good sales for the platform that has the worst softwares sales atm
