Forums - Nintendo - Metroid: Other M comes on a Dual-Layered DVD, still barely manages to fit

Just like the Super Smash Brothers Brawl disk

I wonder if all the cutscenes will also have that strange ten-second loading period before they start playing?

This deserves to be in that "Halo reach is better than X thread".

I know were joking but seriously, how can Bungie fit a 720p game with all that content in a dual layer dvd but Metroid Other M has difficulty doing it?

This is a serious question, is it simply bad compression techniques or something?

My guess is piracy and loading times.

I really hope not. I hate this, since the PSX games this exist (or Saturn or Turbographs 16)

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

...so does this mean I'll have to send my Wii to Nintendo to get it cleaned out again so it can run Other M? I had this issue with Brawl already.

The loss of the Gravity Suit is really no big loss.

Lots of different suits in the Prime games.
