Of course it is. It hasn't been released on any other console. The PS3 is the only console that can run the PS3 version of Call of Duty 4 in the same way that the DS is the only console that can run the DS version of Call of Duty 4.

Evan Wells said that they would have to make some comprimises to put it on another system, but that is not a relevent question. Also, they said they only used a third of its power
I just finished the game on crushing mode and it was a pain because you can poke your head around the wall to shot someone and before you know it your dead. The only think that sucks about crushing mode is they never really miss but i loved it because it was challenging and most games today are to easy.

I believe Mr. Wells also said that the PS3 had one hand tied behind its back and was limping from a recent sports accident.

I hope they do something amazing for the graphics of 2nd gen ps3 games. Something that suprises many.

@munkeh
well I had R & C which I am still playing + I am having my GCSE mocks next week so we have loads of homework + coursework hand in dates...

I'm sure the 360 can run it. And if you count the PC as a console then that can run it too. |
@Soriku
Have you even played the game? I bet you didn't and even if you did, how can you be so sure? I'm not so sure and I'm a Senior Lead Engineer with 16+ years of experience.
The only think I know is that Naughty Dog uses 1 SPE for the water simulation, 1 SPE for mesh processing (to be able to support meshes with more triangles they preprocess them in the SPE to send less vertex data to the GPU) and another SPE for animation calculation (to perform animation morphing between 200+ animations and also for inverse kinematics).
Now I also know that the SPEs are faster than the main cores doing vectorized code and they are indeed faster doing those specific operations that are all very math intensive.
Now, for me, this means the they probably could do it on the 360 but they would have to reduce some computational power in both water dynamics and animations.
Now you tell me what is the basis for for you being so sure? Do you even know what you talking about?

My mocks aren't till half way through next term, I'm just relaxing playing CoD (we break up next thursday) and I've finished CoD, R & C (twice), AC and Uncharted in the last month.
I swore that I would finish CoD (almost done), Mass Effect (also almost done), and Assassin's Creed (only a few hours in) before I picked up Uncharted.
Unfortunately, it's taking me way too long to finish these games. I really want to play Uncharted.
