Forums - Gaming - Piracy strikes again...

See, this is why piracy is so famous. It is a far better service than absolutely anyone else's, with fewer restrictions, better ease of use, and more convenience. Also having a fast internet really helps (as my sig says). I wish I could download Hardware too cause I fucking hate the shipping times for my PC components. Man will that be a great day, pirating hardware.

Also, 58 gid download (this was actually legal) in an hour and a half is fucking awesome. Now I just need a better HDD because this poor chob can only take in about 15-17 MB/s. Now you tell me what is more conenient and faster at those speeds.

P.S. I really REALLY need a fucking SSD.

I do agree that downloading a game is more convenient than buying it in store...however piracy is not without its problems. PC piracy is plauged with issues like viruses, patches, cracks...and console piracy gets you banned on xbox live.

In this case I see how someone would want to get their hands on Halo REach early...as its a highly anticipated game. However if I pirated this game and didn't actually buy the retail copy, it would take away from the special event and feeling associated with a game release like this.

What I learned during my Dreamcast piracy spree is that I usually play if I pay.

Just gotta find the right tracker/site and you are good. I have yet to catch anything bad or corrupted. Furthermore, stuios REALLY need to try to emulate piracy, none of this shitty EADM, Steam (it capped me out at 4.5MB/s yesterday, WHAT TEH FUCK IS THAT SHIT?!), GFWL crap and hoops you have to jump through. It should be, double click, come back in 5 mins, copy paste on any PC you might use it on. Until legal is that simple, it really won't stand that much of a chance.

As for the Reach thing, they feel part of the people that played the game months early. That's a far more statisfying event than the launch event club, no offense.

Well at least Halo will still sell 10 million copies. Piracy hurts small companies the most.

Wasn't piracy always this bad? Just look at the Dreamcast with it's piracy platforms like DreamSNES, Bleemcast!, and so many more...
