IMHO Agent is...Agent, and it should be a blockbuster in 2011

Also there's a very small possibility that next GTA will be timed exclusive for Sony.

its not much really

RS had an exlcusivity agreement of GTA4 on PS3.

RS would have made a loss and so would have sony if it released exclusive as PS3 was making big loss then and exclusivity would have had pushed alot of PS3's resulting in a bigger loss and on RS's side,the sales of PS3 were very low at that time so RS would have sold less copies of GTA4

as RS And with SONY have a very good relation

SONY wouldn't like to damage relation with RS as low sales and SONY making RS LIMIT to a low userbase would have cost RS alot.and on RS's end they really wanted to get high sales and sell to as big as a userbase but at the same time not just betraying SONY which would again damage the relation

so SONY letgo of GTA4 exclusivity and RS had big sales.and RS had an agreemtn with SONY which would profit them in the future and so win-win situation

I don't get this.  Why would Rockstar need Sony's permission to do anthing with their IP?

Thats true but the time the 360 had a much larger install base than the PS3,most multiplat games are pretty even, with FPSs selling better on the 360 and other gametypes selling better on the PS3.BTW here is a weird fact, even tho the 36- version on MW2 sold like 3 million more copies than the PS3 version the PS3 version sold more in europe than the 360 one. i personally thought that was rly wierd

Wasn't this Rock* PS3 exclusive thing down to LA Noire?

Sony pumped a LOT of money into LA Noire, fully funding it I think? But after a while of pretty much nothing coming from the game they did a deal for a new exclusive game in exchange for the seemingly dead LA Noire. This game turned out to be Agent, and thus LA Noire went Multiplat.

Correct me if I'm wrong. It has nothing to do with GTA4. GTA4 was made Multiplat simply because of how the PS3 was doing compared to the 360 in it's early years.

Please. If you can give me links to prove it was to do with GTA4, feel free.

Thanks for explaining it, and as you stated it's a  "win-win situation". One exclusive from Rockstar is great, but three now that would be epic.

Actually a proposition was brought to Sony for exclusivity, but Sony didn't respond fast enough. Microsoft jumped at the opportunity. Had Sony made accepted, GTA IV would have been PS3 exclusive along with MGS4, though in GTA IV's case, it would have gone multi a year later (ala PS2 - Xbox).
