HALO will re-claim the FPS CROWN once more

When did HALO lose the crown? (if we're talking consoles only that is)

# 11 : the word OVERRATED

Very true...once you see Halo Reach everything else is going to look overrated.

The amount of content being put into halo reach is pretty amazing, and bungie is obviously one of the best devs to ever grace the gaming industry.  Im saying this and am not even into halo like alot are here, but I can respect that they create extremely polished and expertly designed games that are huge for a reason, they sell better than any game and reach is lookin no different.  But I will admit, Ive never gotten into the series, I really dont know what it is.  I bought a new copy of odst just to get into the beta so that I could begin to build my own hype train, but it just never took off.  I do however appreciate games like halo becuase of their impact on the industry and how its success is a major boost for video games in general.

With Xbox 360 disc with around 9gb of space...How did Halo Reach fit that amount of content within a single disc...and having more content then Blu-Ray games to this date?</span></div> </td> </tr> </tbody></table> <p><br>That doesn't make a blue-ray anyless neccessary like the article is hinting towards. The reason the developer haven't strived for "this level of content" is because they see no reason to. This is a staple fact: "Quantity doesn't equal Quality".</p> <p>Remember blue-ray isn't just for games, if 1080p movies can be packed into 9gb why would the industry adopt Blue-ray and not HD-DVD?</p> <p>There are a lot of game which breaks the barrier 9 or even come close to 10 with 1/3 of the content Halo reach has.</p> <p>This <strong>doesn't make</strong> Halo Reach <strong>"The greatest game ever made"</strong> or even put other games to shame. Perhaps at this moment Halo Reach <strong>"might"</strong> push the standard for <strong>"FPS"</strong> games, but how long till the others developers catch up? Can you dispute that the other franchises with this amount of content isn't in development at this point of time?</p> <p>I'm sure Halo Reach is a great great great game but the only people who will take this article with more than a pinch of salt will be the <strong>Halo FANS</strong>. I loved the first Halo because it took a lot of elements that made PC shooters great and incorporated them into a console game but I really believe they went over-board since the original game and ruined it somewhat.  It's still arguably the best console shooter on the market, but IMO it pales to PC based shooters entirely.

Does Halo have any cutscenes, CGI ?

Seriously now ,How did Halo Reach fit that amount of content within a single dvd ? , I need an answer

and why other developers can't do it * looks at 360 version of FFXIII* <_<

they are overdoing everything. the content looks good. and the bluray one is just ridiculous.

But true LOL.

Reach wins on every point in the OP. Not on one single point can anyone say with a straight face that Reach isnt the leader and innovator.

And I still want to know why BluRay games are not keeping up with DVD games for content. Noone seems to be able to answer this question.

It wasnt answered with Halo3. And well Reach beats out alot of retail games in their own fields. And yet is one game. A game with so many features and so much content that to be honest, it makes other single genre games look bland.

Wow, so you actually think that Halo Reach is the leader and innovator in racing, rpg-like character customization, and level designing?

Here, I'll say it with a straight face.  "No, it is not -.-"

I think the racing part will become huge. Double team racing online. On 1000's of tracks created in Forge. Imagine one guy drives while the guy on the back uses weapons to take out other racers. Again with huge amounts of game modes withing just the racing part. It has so much potential for huge laughs online.

And the customization and level designing obviously refers to console. Not PC. Character customisation, game types customisation and the level design customisation in 3d is just rediculous. I dont know any other Console game with this many customisation options. None.

While I think it's rather exaggerated, it does amaze me how much content is being put into this game.
