I'm thinking a bit lower 90-94.
GT5 will probably score in the same range I believe.

Predict LBP2 Metacrtic score. | |||
| Lower than the original | 16 | 17.02% | |

I think it'll get the same or slightly lower 93-95. It's possible that with all the improvements it'll score higher but I feel like it'll be docked because it doesn't have the same wow factor and it didn't "fix" the controls/physics which was one of the complaints thrown at the first.

People keep going on about "freshness" but what kind of game these days has "freshness"?
LBP2 will be introducing the ability to keep everything you bought for LBP along with bringing back all the 2M plus user created levels.
LBP2 will be introducing all new additions to the gameplay like Hookshots, Power Gloves, Guns, etc...
LBP2 will be introducing the ability to make just about any type of game you want, whether it be RPG, Shooter, Racer, Real-Time Strategy, etc...
LBP2 will be introducing the ability to actually connect user created levels together so you can make long story based titles to could last for hours and hours on end and range from fighting your way through a forest in one level to commanding an entire squad AI-Sackbots in an RTS styled battle and maybe even finishing the story off with an R-Type styled shooter with a battle against a GIGANTIC end boss! All this could span over god knows how many user created levels.
How is that not "freshness"? It is so fresh that it surpassed everything people thought a LBP sequel could even bring to the table. The justification for a sequel has been debated many times before with people not seeing how they could advance it in any way from the vast amount of options we were given in LBP.
Don't forget that.

Which are all reasons I think it's possible for it to get higher, but being the first game in the Play Create Share line I think was a part of what got LBP the 95 in the first place.
LBP2 definitely surpasses the first in every way which is why I don't think it's really comparable to Bioshock 2, but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll end up with a higher Meta. I love what they're doing with the game in terms of furthering every aspect of creating and putting more story in their single player campaign and I think based on what I've seen I would probably review it higher, but when you're talking about an average of all kinds of different sites there are alot of factors to take into account.

I have high hopes that it won't end up going lower.
If Galazy 2 could score the same as Galaxy without adding much new, or Halo adding a few modes, or CoD adding new modes then LBP should get the royal treatment above them for actually far surpassing the first and essentially make it an entirely new kind of title.

i'm hoping they review and get some time on creating whole games in LBP2. If they do i can't for the life of me see how they score it lower. 96-99
If they dont get hands on with that or spend some time on that then i think it will be a little lower score. 90-94
EVERY GAMERS WORST NIGHTMARE...THE TANGLING CABLES MONSTER!

Coffee is for closers!
Little Big Planet 2 is the definition of a true sequel. Not only does it expand on what it already has, but it also brings new and fresh stuff to the table. Being able to create any kind of game that comes to our minds is simply incredible. It will most definitely be an amazing experience. That is why i think it well get 96(Plus).

"Needless to say, I've never trusted them, or, frankly, any other review source. What I do trust, is what I see with my own eyes and play with my own hands."
Favorite Games of All-Time:
1. Star Ocean 3 2. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep 3. Kingdom Hearts 1/2 4. Metal Gear Solid 4 5. Super Mario 3 6. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess/Ocarina of Time 7. Uncharted 2
With the amount of new features, I'd say it will be at a 96 or 97.
But a part of me thinks it will score the same as LBP1, which is still pretty damn good.
