Forums - Nintendo - *Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition?*

Well it is the only RE game that I can even call an amazing game.  I did enjoy playing the others but they had broken controls and camera issues.  Only issues I had with RE4 was it needed more puzzles like the old REs.  But when it comes to quality, it blows the early ones out of the water.  Almost makes them unplayable at times.  But if you didn't like it on the GC, you won't get anything out of any of the other versions.  I'm assuming you like the old REs so just stick with those... although I really don't know how anyone does haha.  Tried playing through RE0 recently and well it really does make you miss over the shoulder 3rd person.

I've played the PS2, GC, PC, and Wii version and I can honestly say that the Wii version is the best one. However, I don't think you'd like it if you didn't like the GC version

RE4 Wii Edition was the first game I bought when I got my Wii.  I loved it.  But then, I loved RE4 on the Gamecube.  Playing the Wii version, I kept thinking how awesome the control felt.  I may even get the PS3's Move just to experience that sensation again.  But you didn't really like RE4 in the first place.  I don't think Wii Edition will win you over.  Just cherish your RE1-Code Veronica memories (or play 'em again!).

Resident Evil 4 Wii is hands down the best game in the series. IF you are even remotely interested in Resident Evil or survival horror games, you need to buy this game.

I enjoyed Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube, and played it quite often. Because I liked the game so much, I decided to purchase the Wii version for the extra content and new controls. After experiencing the Wii version, I can honestly say that it's an even more enjoyable experience to play, and I would probably not go back to playing the GameCube version.

I think you should give Resident Evil 4 Wii edition a try. The new controls alone certainly made the game even more fun to play in my opinion.

The Wii version of Resident Evil 4 is the best one due to the better controls, widescreen graphics, and the inclusion of the PS2 extra content. However, it is still the same game. If you didn't liked the Gamecube version, I'm afraid you will not like this one too.

i enjoyed the Wii editon of Resident Evil 4 but from what I've read, I doubt you'll enjoy it if you're not a fan of the GC version.

Pixel Art can be fun.

I like both old a new Resident Evil, sure Re4 is not horror/survival is more like horror/action, however, the wiiversion in the best, it has Gamecube graphics and the extras of the ps2 version at the same time plus it has the pointer function for aiming, the only letdown is about the quick-time events, now performed by shaking the wiimote around instead of pressing the right buttons.

No. If you didn't like the game on the GameCube, you won't like it on the Wii.

Its a horribly unbalanced game that is completely disconnected from the RE series story.  The Wii version is even more unbalanced due to the pointer controls.

Well it was either this or the franchise stays shitty and unplayable.
